Sheets are for hand-washing one or two pairs in a bowl of cold water. Pods go straight into the machine with the rest of a cold load, no pre-wash.

They are two formulations, and we would rather say so than let you assume otherwise. Both use enzymes to break down period blood, both work in cold water and neither contains bleach. The chemistry around the enzymes is built for the job: a sheet has to dissolve in a bowl of cold water, a pod has to dissolve in a machine drum. Same price, same plans, and you can swap between them on any renewal.

Yes. The enzymes act on menstrual blood at the fibre level, so it works on period underwear whatever the label says. If your pair came with its own care instructions, follow those too.

Both. The dual-enzyme blend acts on the protein in period blood, and the surfactants carry away what the enzymes release rather than covering it over.

That is the difference from an ordinary detergent, which has nothing in it that acts on protein, so a little stays in the absorbent layer every cycle.

Mostly yes, and here is the part most brands leave out. The layer against your skin is the underwear: 95% bamboo with 5% spandex, certified to Oeko-Tex Standard 100, which means the fabric has been tested for harmful substances.

The detergent is a cleaning product and we are not going to pretend otherwise. It contains surfactants, one of which is a sulfate, and about 1% fragrance, so it is neither sulfate-free nor fragrance-free. There is no bleach in it and no optical brighteners, it is pH-balanced, and the routine finishes with a rinse in clean water.

If your skin reacts easily, patch-test one pair before you wear it through a full day.

Quick Sheets come in packs of 10. Each sheet hand-washes one or two pairs, so a pack covers about one cycle.

Clean Pods come in packs of 3, one pod per machine load, which also covers about one cycle.

Yes for everyday laundry. For baby items we will not give a blanket yes: the formula includes surfactants, enzymes and about 1% fragrance, so patch-test first or check with your pediatrician.

Cold. Heat sets blood into the fibres and it shortens the life of the absorbent layer, so cold is what keeps a pair working. Under 30 °C / 86 °F.

The enzymes are built to activate cold, so you give up nothing by using it.

Twenty minutes, with one sheet, in cold water. That is enough for one or two pairs.

If the box in your hand says 10 minutes, go with 20. We caught a printing error and the next run is corrected.

If you are on a plan that runs for several months, the whole plan comes in one box and is paid for in a single charge up front. One charge, one delivery.

Not for a change of mind. The wash is a single-use consumable and cannot be resold once it has shipped, so we do not take returns or give cash refunds because an order turned out not to be what you wanted.

Two things are covered. If a parcel arrives damaged or holds the wrong item, email hello@lotusvida.com within 7 days with your order number and a photo, and we send the right thing at no cost. Email hello@lotusvida.com with your order number and what happened. We start with the easy fixes, usually a swap to the other format or a replacement, and if it is still not right for you we refund what you paid for that order. Nothing needs to be mailed back.
