Why it works

Twenty minutes, and the shadow is gone

The chore is the problem here, not your period. What makes it a chore is where period blood ends up. It is protein and pigment, and it does not sit on the surface. It binds into the absorbent layer, the one part of a pair you cannot scrub without wrecking it. That is why an ordinary wash leaves a shadow in the padded part of the gusset.

A gentler detergent does not fix that. What fixes it is an enzyme-powered formula aimed at exactly that bind. It loosens what has worked its way into the layer and lets cold water carry it out. You do not scrub and you do not pre-wash. You wait twenty minutes, then you look at the pair.

Cold is the point rather than a compromise. Heat sets a stain and wears out the layer doing the absorbing. No bleach, lightly scented, and the film around the sheet is PVA that dissolves completely.

Using it
How long do I soak, and do I have to scrub?
About 20 minutes, and no scrubbing. Rinse the pair in cold water until it runs clear. Fill a bowl or a sink with cold water and drop in one sheet. Add one or two pairs, leave them, then rinse and hang to dry. No dryer, no fabric softener.

You are waiting, not working. Scrubbing is one of the things that wears out the absorbent layer, which is the whole reason we made a wash you do not have to scrub with.

The box printed in this batch says Soak 10 Minutes. It is a typo on our side. Twenty minutes is the right answer and the next print run says so.
How many pairs does one sheet clean, and how long does a package last?
One sheet cleans one or two pairs. A package holds 10 sheets, so it covers roughly one cycle.
Can I use it on period underwear from another brand?
Yes. It is built to clean period underwear and absorbent fabrics whatever the label says, because it works at the fibre level rather than on the surface. If your pair came with its own care instructions, follow those too.
Can I take it travelling?
That is the reason it is a sheet. A package is flat and dry, so it goes in a wash bag and works in any sink, including a hotel one.
What is in it
The full ingredient list
PVA film (it dissolves completely), a surfactant blend, water, trisodium citrate, glycerin, the enzymes fiberase and protease, plant extracts and saponins, kaolin clay, and fragrance at about 1%.

Two honest notes, because you deserve them before you buy and not after. It is lightly scented, not fragrance free. And the main surfactant is sodium dodecyl sulphate, so this is not a sulfate-free formula. What it is: cold-water activated, bleach free, and built around enzymes that break down period blood.
Does a detergent sheet really get period blood out?
Yes, and it is the formula doing that rather than the format. It is an enzyme-powered wash built for menstrual blood at the point where it binds into the absorbent layer, which is the part an ordinary detergent leaves behind.
Is it gentle on skin and on the fabric?
It is cold-water activated, bleach free and lightly scented. If you have sensitive skin, read the ingredient list above first: the formula contains a sulfate and about 1% fragrance, and we would rather tell you than have you find out.
